Urban population through the decades

The Industrial Revolution lead many people to cities to find jobs.
Since then, the phenomenon of urbanisation has spread from western and eastern countries to developing ones.
It is noteworthy that the UN has reported that "in 2007 more than 50% of the world population were living in the cities, for the first time in human history".
